About Us - Friends of Pendragon

Hello and welcome to Friends! Friends of Pendragon is a registered charity (charity number 1165191) and is run by volunteers, who give up their time and energy to enrich the Pendragon Pupils' educational experience. In essence Friends is a PTA (parent, teacher association); but is not limited to parents and teachers on the Committee.

Friends has been helping the school for many years and as a parent or carer of a Pendragon pupil you automatically benefit from the work the Committee does. As a member of Friends we will call on you from time to time to help the Committee to meet its vision!

Our Vision:
Our aim is to have a structured and effective organisation allowing us to help bridge the gap in funding and provide enriching opportunities for the children of Pendragon Community Primary
School. We will provide a social, welcoming, and fun environment; ultimately forging new friendships and making a difference for all pupils, to enable the Committee to successfully raise funds, arrange community engagement activities, and drive increased Parent/carer and community participation in the school.

The full Friends' Committee meets once every half term, dates for the rest of this school year are:

  • Tuesday 15th January
  • Wednesday 13th March
  • Thursday 16th May
  • Wednesday 12th June
and we would love to see new faces! At the start of the Autumn 2 half term we have a fantastic membership of 35 parents, carers, friends and teachers on the Committee - but the more the merrier!

Alongside the full Committee Meetings sub-committees meet ad hoc to organise and plan the different events we put on.

We will let you know about these events through the school newsletter, Friends' newsletters, parent mail, our 2 Friends' notice boards (main gate and on the wall near to Foundation Stage gate) and our social media page on Facebook - Friends of Pendragon.
