Lunches

We are proud to have held 'Health Promoting School' status since 2007.
Whether having a Cooked School Lunch or Packed Lunch we encourage all pupils and their parents to make healthy choices as part of a healthy lifestyle.
  • See below for our 'Guide to Healthier Packed Lunches'.
Our school dinners are provided by Aspens and menus are planned to meet new healthy eating standards set by the Government.

All children in Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to have a school dinner for free.

School dinners are available at a cost of £2.80 per day for all other year groups. These can be paid for at the beginning of the week, on the day or half termly in advance using our online payment system.  Access arrangements for MCAS ( My child at school) will be given to you once your child has started school.

As a health promoting school, we recommend that children who prefer to bring a packed lunch also eat a healthy balanced meal that will provide them with the energy and nutrition they need. Children should bring a drink to have with their lunch (fizzy drinks are not permitted).

Mid–morning Snacks
Children in Key Stage 2 are encouraged to bring in a healthy snack of fruit or vegetables. In Foundation and Key Stage 1 this is provided by the Government’s fruit and vegetable scheme. Only real fruits and vegetables are allowed as break time snacks. Fruit winders (and other concentrated dried fruit products), biscuits, crisps and sweets are not permitted.
